1. Fear
Through no fault of our own, we initially learn to love from a place of fear. In reality, this is not love at all. In this step, our relationships feel very unpredictable to us and our conversations are unsafe.
2. Discovery
This step is where we learn to pay attention to our reactivity our judgement and our attachment.
3. Inner Work
This is where we learn to pay attention to the complex relationship between our thoughts and our feelings. In this step we learn how to make decisions informed by feelings.
4. Outer Work
We initially try to spend most of our time in this step. This is where all your questions come from and is what most people call “communication”. In this step we learn the value of waiting until we are ready and discover solid tools to have a safe conversation.
5. Freedom
This is an endless process of discovery and rediscovery. In this step, relationships feel wonderful and there is literally nothing we are afraid to say or do.
